Probably because I've been a male long enough that I understand my gender's basic behavioural patterns and spotting a fake is easy. WHAT GAMERGATE HAS TAUGHT ME
Before we begin, let's just state that trying to decipher Gamergate as a whole is impossible. But if you're one of the dozen or so people who has read this blog and are unfamiliar, I'll give you the fast-forward Cliff Notes from what I have gathered following it:
A low-level game designer and camwhore named Zoe Quinn was in need of god reviews for her 1988-grade lousy RPG game. So, she fucked a few video game journalists to achieve said good reviews. When the gaming community caught on to this, they essentially wanted to know how deep the rabbit whole went on corruption in gaming journalism, seeing as any press for any demographic has tremendous influence. When gamers wanted an apology, the gaming journalism community told them to go fuck themselves. A the same time Quinn's bed-hopping antics put her at the end of much scorn, and in swept a tirade of SJW's and White Knights to "rescue" the newly-minted feminist from the "misogynistic" gaming community. So it became two things: the original debate on ethics in gaming journalism, and a battle between snivelling safe space-demanding SJW's versus those who aren't completely sheltered pussies. The latter became the bigger, and far more ferocious half on the battle. It was the Eastern Front.
Now I'm not a gamer. Granted, I own a Wii still which I play with my daughter and even at 6 years old she whoops my ass at baseball and boxing on Wii sports. But I'm not a member of the "gaming community". I've also never thought of them as menacing or threatening in ANY way. Usually members of the community aren't out committing robbery and assault. And they also aren't trying to edit real life because the world is just such a mean place for a Me Generation millennial. Enter the heroes: the SJWs. Third-wave feminists. People who think shit is just so bad, meanwhile they're living in the west with not only internet access but food, shelter, electricity, etc. thing they take for granted but whine, bitch, gripe, crab and complain about none the less. At great length. No matter HOW MUCH evidence you present to them.
You see, the Anti-Gamergate SJW's tactic is to block anybody who engages them in debate. As soon as proof is presented, they block. As soon as you oppose them, debate them, question their view in ANY fucking way, they stomp their feet, they hold their breath, they blast you on Yelp, they demand your boss fire you, they post your personal information on the internet and spread lies about you that you hate women and that you "look like a rapist" whatever the fuck that means. Throw proof in their face? They come back with their clichés:
"You're just proving my point!"
"Educate Yourself!"
"Set yourself on Fire!"
"Typical toxic masculinity!"
"Male cis white dominant alpha caveman blah blah blah"
"I'm morbidly obese, have blue hair and will most certainly die alone!"
But of course, we ALL look like rapists because that seems to be the general platform of Josh McIntosh's eczema-festooned cash puppet and not-very-bright-person Anita Sarkeesian and the rest of the Anti-GG redfems. Jesus Christ, talk about a group of fucking whiners. You're lining your pockets off of suckering beta men and morons and you can't stop your lie train. The fucking UN? Are you kidding me? "We don't need proof of our harassment"? What fucking planet did this become? I'm a Gen-X'er, a product of the late 80's and 90's, "The Last Great Decade" which everything today still rides the dying coattails of.. Women were so wild and free in that decade. Drunk sex was a thing, we all loved it, and nobody was crucified for it in every home across the country because they fucked some girl who had a fear of slut-shaming and decide to ruin him as damage control. And this is where I side with Gamergate: they stand up to these clueless, blubbering fools who do not know the real world: they don't have families, they're unattractive and usually had shitty adolescences and sex lives, they've had all these endless opportunities of living in the west handed to them on a silver platter and all they do is bitch and moan about words typed on a social media message board. You hurt my feelings. You disagreed with me. Boo-hoo. My name is Steph Guthrie and I'm going to ruin your fucking life along with my smug, dishevelled Medusa clan. Have you ever heard Guthrie speak? Watching her try and weave logic, she may as well be catching a javelin with a fishing net. But don't disagree with her on Twitter, or she'll ruin you and send you to prison. That's what cunts do. Yes I'm a liberal. Discussions on political beliefs end here with this new blog. Left, Right. Blonde, brunette. We have our reasons for our beliefs, our reasons to hate the dreaded "other side "but let's face facts: we both have a common problem right now, a common goal in need: both sides need to reign in their crazies and expel them to the wastelands of Cursed Earth where they can just run around bumping into each other, snorting meth and jerking off to their own opinions like a West Virginia jovial hayseed, wacked on moonshine and whacking it on his porch.
On one side, the Right, you have the Hee-Haws: the people who take the bible literally, think Noah packed four million animals on a boat that's impossible to build by way of physical law, and told the dinosaurs to fuck off 6000 years ago. The idiots who bring snowballs on to the Senate floor and say "Look! There's still snow on this planet, who gives a fuck what 55,000 unanimous climate reports state?" *fires Colt dragoons into ceiling* Those people embarrass the Right because they are fucking idiots who deny facts supported by mountains of evidence.
Then you have he demons of the Left: The SJW's. Who have been making waves in the media the past year and a half thanks to false high-profile rape allegations, Gamergate, and every whiney self-entitled brat on an American college campus who thinks why some god-forsaken reason their opinion matters. YOUR OPINION DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER. Okay? Got it? You. Are. Still. A. Child. You have not met Real Life yet. No, Real Life is a cruel bitch who doesn't care about hurt feelings, it doesn't care that you think you're a special snowflake, it won't coddle you and give you positive-only opinions and advice while gently rubbing your back and kissing your ass like a sleazy Hollywood agent. No, you're going to take your entitled view that you carry an always-correct moral high ground because you come to the rescue of women and minorities whenever they engage in logical debate on a social media site. You see White Knight, I was once like you. I used to use the "sensitive" façade in order to try and get women to like me. You know what I noticed? A) I was faking it, because all men are in fact distinctively horny and love to fuck ad B) losing. Because nice guys finish last, and women like nice guys not for relationships but for helping them move, killing a spider or putting gas in their car. If you're not fucking her, well, YOU'RE NOT FUCKING HER. Some other guy who she is physically attracted to, who she shares a connection with, is fucker her. No, I ultimately gave up the sensitive approach because I turned 18 and realized I was too old to be so dishonest anymore. I tried something new: honesty. Treating any individual with a level playing field. We are ALL individuals. Our environment, the people and place that surrounds us moulds us into the person we are. Some of us have a great time in sideshow we call life, we were active, outgoing, made great friends and relationships. Others were insecure outcasts who took having a shitty adolescence out on whoever can't physically retaliate on them: that' you, White Knight. The single most cringe-inducing presence on the internet. The fucking creepy, totally-in-denial stalker of women who despite being ridiculed endlessly in social media just won't go away. You know what? GO AWAY.
Sorry, I'm ranting. Ranting, in a time when we should be healing. Healing from the wounds SJW's have done to my "side". They have embarrassed us, made us look like pouty pussies who hold their breath and stomp their feet until a university dean is fired for fake bullshit that some bored student pulled out of the ass. Its a fucking disgrace. The time has come for us proud, traditional Liberals-- the ones who stick to the wonderful base beliefs of doing drugs and getting laid-- to reign in the SJW and White Knight menace. The Right will help us. This will bring unity.
These privileged, know-nothing little ding-dongs have a LOT to learn. Life isn't a liberal arts college, there ARE no safe spaces in the real world and yes I WILL question or insult your beliefs openly and you will sit there and take it.
